In a bid to strengthen military cooperation, Ethiopia and India on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on defense cooperation on the sidelines of Aero India 2025.
On Wednesday, February 12,on the sidelines of Aero India 2025, Ethiopian Defense Minister Aisha Mohammed and Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh signed a memorandum of understanding on military cooperation.
During the signing ceremony, the two top defence officials expressed their commitmment to exploring additional areas of military cooperation through their respective defense ministries.
According to Ethiopian Embassy in New Delhi, the significant MoU marks a pivotal step in enhancing the relationship between Ethiopia adding that The newly established partnership seeks to strengthen cooperation in various defense sectors, including defense industrial collaboration, cyber security, joint research and development, as well as capacity building,.
The embassy added that On multilateral platforms, Ethiopia and India collaborate to promote inclusivity and support each other’s agendas of mutual interest. Both countries are committed to enhancing the representation and benefits of the Global South in international forums.
