Ahead of the clash between the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and the Swallows of Burundi, the team’s head coach, Rigobert Song and his boys, since Sunday May 29, have been the fine tuning strategies at the CAF center in Mbankomo, Yaoundé, to over-ride their opponents in the race to the 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup Of Nations, to be hosted by Ivory Coast.
Though the 25 players called up are still to all answer present, especially the old guards in the likes of Nouhou Tolo and Vincent Aboubakar, the fresh men like Christopher Wooh, defender for French Ligue one club, Lens FC and George Kevin Nkoudou, striker at Besiktas FC are all hungry enshrining their names in blue ink, in the lion’s den.
As at now, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are intensifying training and will meet the local players this Saturday June 4th 2022, in their first outing, at the Douala Omnisports stadium at 4pm, before flying to Tanzania to face Burundi on the 8th of June.
