Inhabitants of the Manyu division, south west region of Cameroon, witness this day, May 5th, the Episcopal Ordination of Bishop Aloysius Fondong of the Catholic Diocese of Mamfe. The head of states, President Paul Biya, was represented at the ceremony by the Minister Delegate at the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Defense, Joseph Beti Assomo. It should be noted, the event is marked by heavy security. It is now a form of tradition to ensure such events do not receive the visit of separatists fighters. Bishop Fondong succeeds Archbishop Andrew Nkea who was appointed to the Bamenda Archdiocese.
