South Africa has introduced a five-year multiple-entry visa for Nigerian business men and tourists will apply for visas without submitting their passports.
President cyril Ramaphosa announced the initiative on Tuesday while speaking at the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) in Cape Town.

In a bold move to boost cooperation, South Africa’s leadership, Cyril Ramaphosa on Tuesday announced the introduction of a five-year multiple-entry visas for nigerian business men and tourits.
President Ramaphosa noted the significance of these initiatives while speaking at the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) in Cape Town, attended by President Bola Tinubu.
The simplified visa processes aimed at accelerating travel, also allows Nigerian tourists to apply for visas without submitting their passports.
“As we marked 30 years of diplomatic relations, we saw a bright future for our relationship. Our strong bonds of friendship provided a solid foundation for more meaningful economic cooperation,” Ramaphosa said acknowledging Nigeria’s role in hosting South African companies and noted that South Africa had similarly welcomed Nigerian businesses.
The Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) was established in 1999 to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
Its worth noting that There are currently thirty-four agreements and Memoranda of Understanding between the two countries which cover a wide range of fields including economic, technical, scientific, social, and tourism, amongst others.
