Following Saturday’s assassination attempt on former US president Donald Trump, incumbent leader Joe Biden has condemned the attack. In a televised address, he urged all Americans to stay calm and united amid hovering challenges.
US President Joe Biden has firmly condemned the suspected assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump on Saturday during a rally in Pennsylvania.
Addressing the nation two hours after the shooting, Biden said he was relieved that Trump was doing well. During the attack following numerous shots, Mr Trump got shot in the right ear as he addressed his supporters at an outside campaign rally.
Following the incident, the US Secret service confirmed a bystander had been killed And two others are in the hospital in a critical condition. The attacker who was named by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI as 20 year old Thomas Mathew Crooks was also shot dead as per numerous sources.
Similarly, several global leaders have expressed concern over the apparent assassination attempt. The white house revealed that President Biden spoke with his election rival by telephone call after he left the hospital.
However the US President made a quick call for unity to prevail among Americans, urging the citizens to denounce such violence scenes in Butler.
