Cameroon’s president, Paul Biya during an extraordinary summit of the CEMAC in Yaoundé called on all member states to work collectively and harness economic prosperity.
He made the remarks while addressing heads of State and Government at the opening of the summit.
As the conference unfolded, the leaders of the CEMAC subregion touched key regional issues like the macroeconomics situation of the region amid other things.
The conference that opened on December 16 at the Unity palace in Yaoundé , saw the leaders hold technical talks around the political, economic, social and security future of the region where president Biya stated concrete solutions must be brought to pressing issues.
President Faustin Archange Touadera called for resilience in the wake of the numerous challenges plaguing the region.
Attending this year’s summit are the leaders of Central Africa, Congo, Gabon, Équatorial Guinea and Chad.
