During an official visit to Beijing, China, Egypt’s president Abdel fattah Al Sisi has reaffirmed his nation’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with ‘China Energy’, anEnergy engineering company based in China as it will bring more investment to the nation. He made the remarks on Friday in the course of a meeting with the company’s board, highlighting the need to reinforce their joint projects.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has met with Song Hailiang, Chairman of the Board of China Energy Engineering Corp. The visit early on Friday comes as « China Energy » and a number of senior company executives, alongside the president are officiating a state visit to the Chinese capital, Beijing.
The Spokesman of the Presidency, Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy, said that President El-Sisi affirmed his nation’s keenness to increase Chinese investments and develop cooperation with Chinese companies operating in Egypt, with « China Energy » being at the forefront.
President El-Sisi also emphasized Egypt’s interest in enhancing coordination and cooperation with the company and benefiting from its expertise and capabilities, welcoming the company’s willingness to expand its projects in Egypt, especially those related to green hydrogen.
Egypt is also keen on localizing industries and technology, training and employing local workforce, and providing new job opportunities in the Egyptian market. The two sides discussed new project proposals available for cooperation and ways to advance ongoing joint projects.
On his part, the Chairman of China Energy praised the existing cooperation between the two sides, noting that Egypt is among the largest promising markets in the energy and green hydrogen sectors. He as well affirmed the company’s commitment to continue developing various areas of cooperation to serve the interests of both sides.
President El-Sisi emphasized the Egyptian government’s zeal for Chinese companies to capitalize on this development by enhancing their investments in Egypt, which would benefit the two countries and further boost their bilateral relations.
