Cypriot minister of foreign affairs, Constantinos Kombos has pinpointed the relation between Egypt and Cyprus has intensified. He made the remarks while addressing the media on Thursday.
As per the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Constantinos Kombos, on Thursday, Egypt and Cyprus have intensified cooperation since October 7. The Cypriot Diplomat while speaking to Cairo News said they are part of the same region, and what is happening in their region of the world is something that affects both countries directly.
Kombos underscored the two countries have expanded their close cooperation and coordination regarding the situation in Gaza, especially with regard to how to « send the correct messages and how they can stop the war and increase aid ».
He revealed he has met with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry more than 8 or 9 times during the past five or six months, besides phone calls, a move that has further strengthened their cooperation.
« The close cooperation between us has been effective, » he highlighted, emphasizing that the presidents of the two countries have also been in close contact on the issue of Gaza and other matters of regional concern.
