The much awaited list, of selected Cameroonian players, for the last round of the Qatar2022 qualifiers, has finally been published.
Rigobert Song Bahanag, the new head coach of Cameroon’s National Football team selected 38players. The players, in collaboration with the new head coach, will have as main objective, securing a win against the Desert Foxes of Algeria, in their double confrontation games.
The published list presents 9 new faces, amongst which are 2 defenders, Sacha Boey, and Bilong Jean-Claude, 4 midfielders: Neyou Yvan, Fuchs Jeando, Ondoa Gaël, Ntcham Olivier and 2 new strikers, John Mary and Soni Kevin, all international players. With some, playing in renowned European tournaments. They come in support to the old players in the likes of Zambo Anguissa, Choupo Moting, Vincent Aboubacar, Fai Collins and many others.
Meanwhile the prayers of Cameroon football lovers have been answered. They long prayed for the comeback of Fabrice Ondoa, the prolific goal keeper that immensely contributed in making the Indomitable Lions, Champions of Africa in 2017.
With the double games to be played against Algeria on Cameroon soil and equally in Algeria, on the 25th and 29th of March respectively, die hearted Cameroon football fans hope Rigobert’s choices, take them to Qatar for the FIFA Wold Cup tournament.
