Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to Somalia’s unity and stability during a phone call with his Somali counterpart, Ahmed Moalim Faki, on Sunday. This was a follow up on key discussions from Faki’s recent visit to Cairo.
In a diplomatic gesture underscoring regional solidarity, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Badr Abdelatty, engaged in a phone call with Somali Foreign Minister Ahmed Moalim Faki on Sunday.
The conversation followed up on the outcomes of Minister Faki’s December 23 visit to Cairo, highlighting Egypt’s unwavering commitment to Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and security.
During the call, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for Somalia’s efforts to combat terrorism, emphasizing how these initiatives are critical to bolstering stability in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.
He also pledged continued Egyptian assistance in strengthening Somalia’s state institutions through technical expertise, aligning with the aspirations of the Somali people. The exchange reflects Egypt’s dedication to fostering regional stability and partnership in accordance with international law.
