Equatorial Guinea president, Teodoro Obiang Nguema is currently on a state visit to Moscow, Russia. He will hold talks with President Putin on September 26, 2024, according to a statement from the Kremlin. His visits coincides with the ongoing Russia Energy week international forum to culminate on September 28, 2024.
In the wake of simmering relations between Equatorial Guinea and Russia, President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo is on a state visit to Moscow to run till September 28.
The visit which coincides with the Russian Energy Week will see both leaders address the plenary session of the international energy forum to be held under the theme » Energy Cooperation in a Multipolar World ».
The Equato- Guinean delegation consists of the Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea, Antonio Oburu Ondo, who is expected to participate in discussions at the event.
President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo may address the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian Federal Assembly, on Thursday, according to the State Duma vice speaker.
Both leaders would hold talks at the Kremlin Thursday with an agenda on prospects to further deepen relations in various areas, according to a statement from the press service of the Kremlin.
It is worthy of note that this is President Mbasogo’s third visit to Russia and second in the past two years . However, Moscow and Malabo are marking the 56th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.
