The government of Ghana has announced that the National Economic Dialogue will take place from March 3 to 4, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
A statement from Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu on February 18 described the event as a platform for Ghanaians to address pressing economic challenges and develop solutions for sustainable growth.
President John Mahama will lead the discussions with a keynote address on the theme, « Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together. » The dialogue aligns with his campaign promise to involve citizens in shaping the country’s economic future.
The event will bring together stakeholders from the private sector, academia, public policy institutions, and civil society to foster consensus on key policies and structural reforms. The government expects the dialogue to mark the beginning of economic revitalization, unlocking business opportunities and improving living conditions.
The statement emphasized that clear commitments and milestones would be set to ensure long-term resilience and transformative growth. It also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to constructive engagement and collaboration in building a stronger economy.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, announced that President Mahama will soon deliver his first State of the Nation Address. While he did not specify a date, he confirmed the address would take place in the coming days.
