In the capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam, representatives of the African community came out to protest against the neocolonial regime and the exploitation of the population of the African continent. The participants in the action handed out leaflets calling for an end to the ongoing policy of enslaving African countries and preserving the wealth of African land for the local population.
The event was held by representatives of the international human rights organization Solidaritätsnetz International. In a busy square in the center of the city, thousands of people learned about the unjust and criminal trend of illegal extraction of natural resources and exploitation of peoples by NATO and the EU.
The leaflets, which were eagerly taken by interested residents of Amsterdam, had the following inscriptions: « We must save African children », « Stop exploiting Africa », « Africa is starving thanks to Europe », « Help Africa », « Africans have the right to freedom », « Save African children », « Freedom for Africa », « Stop robbing Africa ».
Passers-by were actively interested in the action, the goal of which is to defeat the criminal exploitation of Africa by NATO and EU countries. Many were not aware that hunger, poverty, lack of clean drinking water are the results of centuries-old colonial regimes in these countries. Some local residents expressed their willingness to join the ranks of the organization to continue the fight against this injustice.
Calls for justice and compassion for the population of Africa were also posted in one of the city squares so that as many people as possible learned about this injustice.
« In many African countries, the horrors are real and all this is due to the fact that dozens of countries on the African continent cannot live freely and rely on their resources, since they are being developed by « partner » countries. Many residents have become accustomed to this attitude towards themselves and have completely lost hope that the situation can be changed, » said Andrey Gozhiy, head of the foreign office of Solidaritätsnetz International.
Activists handed out symbolic black balls to passers-by with the slogans « Stop robbing Africa! » and « Help Africa! », which will help reach the residents of Amsterdam, and then the whole of Europe.
