Nigeria’s National Petroleum company NNPC Gas Marketing has signed a deal with Dangote oil refinery to facilitate industrial capabilities. The deal inked on Wednesday in Lagos will run for ten years and see the subsidiary supply 100 million standard cubic feet of gas per day to Dangote.
Towards effective industrial capabilities and production, Nigeria’s state oil firm, Nigerian National Petroleum company NNPC Gas Marketing, a subsidiary of NNPC Ltd has sealed a deal with Dangote oil refinery agreeing to supply 100 million standard cubic feet of gas per day to Dangote.
The deal to be valid for the next ten years was inked on Wednesday at Dangote’s group’s corporate headquarters in Falomo, Lagos and under the agreement, the subsidiary will provide the firm with the required amount with an additional supply as interruptible gas with options of renewal.
The deal signed between the managing director of the gas marketing, Justin Ezeala and the President / CEO of Dangote group, Aliko Dangote outlines the supply of natural gas for power generation and feedstock at the Dangote Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos state, according to a statement.
The fresh deal underscores the nation’s commitment to foster Nigeria’s domestic gas utilisation in line with the nation’s policies to leverage the country’s extensive gas reserves to champion industrial growth and economic development.
