The Douala city council in full compliance with the law that governs local development in the country, met Friday March 25 to evaluate her report card of last year and make projection for 2022. It was reveal during the 4 hours of deliberation which was frank and coherent that, within the last 2 years, the council budget has witness a tremendous improvement from 39 billion to 50 billion today.
This, Mr Mbella Ntocke Lucien principal inspector of treasury at the city council says, is due to the stride made by the land tittle and construction department for the council to have achieved today’s revenue statistics. Wouri senior divisional officer Benjamin Mboutou who chaired the session, congratulated the councilors for a job well done but insisted, efftororts must be doubled this year to resolve the prolonged water crisis that has been facing the denizens of Brazzaville and Ngondi Bakoko neighborhood for the past 2 years now,especially at a point in time when our country is facing the outbreak of cholera epidemic .
However, the city mayor Dr.Roger Mbassa Ndine confirm to the press, the reinstatement of the platform of councils as instructed by the wouri SDO.This the mayor says, will permit all the 6 councils in the wouri division to collectively, contribute constructive ideas for the well being of the population.
