Qatar 2022 qualifiers : Rigobert Song, Set for Algeria

Rigobert Song Bahanag, the new head coach of the Indomitable Lions has published his final list of players, selected to face Algeria in less than 2 weeks.

27 in number, they will have as main aim, qualifying for the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup tournament. The list, however, comes with alot of controversies in the general public following the absence of some players and the presence of new ones.

At the defense line, Duplexe Tchamba, the new comer has been retained for reinforcement. Moreover, three new mid fielder’s, Olivier Ntcham, Jeando Fuchs, and Gael Ondoa, as well as three new strikers, Soni Kevin, Léandre Tawamba and Wassou Patient, the striker from Coton Sport De Garoua, have equally been selected.

To the greatest suprise of football fans, Fabrice Ondoa, the AFCON 2017 best goal keeper is not among the selected players. Just like him, Christian Bassogog, Clinton Njie, Stephane Bahoken, and some others who all answered present at the AFCON2021, have also, not been retained.

Choupo-Moting, Zambo Anguissa, Fai Collins and the rest of the team mates, will have to work hand in glove so as to triumph over the Desert Foxes of Algeria. The double encounters will be played at on the 25th and 29th of March respectively. The 1st will be played at the Japoma stadium in Douala and the 2nd in Blida, a city in Algeria.

Cameroon Football fans just hope they the Indomitable Lions will qualify and be in Qatar by November 2022, for the World’s most prestigious football competition, the FIFA World Cup tournament.
