Preparations are underway as Ethiopia is set to host in February the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union and the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council that will be held in Addis Abeba
The African Union is set to hold its 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union and the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council in Addis Ababa in the coming February.
Ethiopia through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is carrying out a training programme for 100 volunteer cadets and protocol staff for the upcoming African Union Summit.The selected volunteers are attending training to effectively serve guests during the AU meetings.
The trainees on December 22 embarked on a tour to showcase the Addis International Convention and Exhibition Center, the Adwa National Museum, and various corridor development initiatives that have significantly improved the city’s infrastructure.
The Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bereket Diriba stressed that « The tour offers a unique opportunity for the cadets and protocol staff to gain insights into the dynamic changes underway in Addis Ababa, »
He added that the initiative is in a move to help them « effectively showcase the city’s and the nation’s progress and achievements. »
